Robert Naify is an American businessman known for his ownership of movie theaters. Naify, the son of a Lebanese immigrant who built a movie theater empire beginning in 1912, has worked in the theater business nearly all his life. Along with his brother Marshall Naify, members of The Forbes Four Hundred since 1987, with an estimated worth of $4.3 billion, they merged the family's theater chain with United Artists Theater Circuit, early pioneer of cable television in the 1950s, eventually inheriting entire the movie theater empire. They sold that company in 1986 to John Malone's Telecommunications Inc. for cash, TCI stock.〔"(Financiers Bow Out of Movie Theater Chain )", ''Nashua Telegraph'', July 15, 1986, p. 10.
